Smart Electric Guitar
Introducing you to the guitar of the future
This one-of-a-kind guitar utilizes a touchscreen interface that is built into the electric guitar. This touch screen allows the user to select digital effects at arm's reach and modify the sound of their instrument instantaneously.
What are Guitar Effects and Effect Pedals?
When you listen to music, either at home or on a live performance, chances are that you in some shape or form have heard the sound of effects being introduced that had drastically changed the audio you hear. In the music industry, effects (either analog or digital) are utilized to shape the sound of an instrument, where the specific sound shape taken is dependent on genre and subjective taste. In the guitar world, this is primarily achieved by the use of pedals which are small circuit boxes that include analog circuits that reshape the original instrument waveform when activated by a footswitch. Analog effects are specific to each pedal, meaning that a guitarist needs to have multiple effect pedals that will in turn give their specific sound desired. There are options for guitarists to have this all in one but still requires them to bring a separate device operated by foot, which is a digital pedalboard.

How does the Smart Electric Guitar help the artist?
Having the effects built into the guitar itself, this product facilitates the creation of effects and their customization during a performance, by providing an interface for players to design and create their own tones directly from the guitar itself. This interface also removes the necessity of bringing a set of pedals or a digital pedalboard to a live performance, thus increasing portability and convenience for the player. This device also allows the player to change effect presets during their performance and allows the user to have their customized effects bank using presets, which would swiftly allow them to widely change the sound of the guitar with the use of a button.
